விமான நிலைய திறப்பு விழாவில் தேசிய கீதம் பாடப்படவில்லை

ஜனாதிபதி மைத்ரிபால சிறிசேன, பிரதமர் ரணில் விக்கிரமசிங்க தலையமையில், இன்று யாழ்ப்பாணம் சர்வதேச விமான நிலையம் திறந்து வைக்கும் நிகழ்வில் தேசிய கீதம் பாடப்படாமல், இசைக் கருவிகளால் மாத்திரம் தேசிய கீதம் இசைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

தேசியக் கீதத்தைப் பாடுவதற்காக, நிகழ்வு இடம்பெற்ற இடத்துக்கு மாணவர்கள் வரவழைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த போதும் அவர்களால் தேசிய கீதம் பாடப்படவில்லை எனத் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகின்றது.

அத்துடன் விழா சம்பிரதாயபூர்வமாக ஆரம்பமாவதற்கு முன்னரே தேசியக் கொடி ஏற்றபட்டிருந்ததாகவும் தெரிவிக்கப்படுகின்றது.

Bandaranayake from SLFP prioritized Sinhalese only policy of 1956 and captured power defeating the U.N.P. Next year, S.W.R.D.Bandaranayake- S.J.V.Chelvanayagam pact of 1957 was abrogated because of the UNP protest...
